During the day time, Maritas is a good place for lunch/dinner. The food is consistent and the service is usually pretty good, just keep it simple, don't expect authentic Mexican cuisine - I'd recommend it as a good place for beer and wings or tacos, maybe a burger.

As far as Maritas night life, I stay away. They clear the tables and bring in a D.J. and it mostly attracts the 18 year olds with fake I.D.'s and $1 drinks that taste like cough syrup crowd. As an adult there are better places to be on Main Street after dark.

We were the only people in this dive eating, the rest were locals at the bar. Our waiter came to take my order, he had no idea what cranberry and vodka was! Hello!?  I literally had to spell it out and he still was confused! The food was not good...  I got a chicken burrito and it was weirdly mushy and the chicken was dry..   My daughters fajita was good. So there's that!  ‍

Unfortunately this was not authentic Mexican food. Our server was nice. But I went in there craving a good Mexican meal and did not get that. And what I did get wasn't delicious. Kind of sad. On that note my quest for authentic Mexican continues. I'm a native New Yorker and was really lucky to have amazing Mexican in all 5 boroughs.

The food is not Mexican, it's not even Tex-Mex, its the worst tacos I've had. They have no authenticity and the name is very deceiving. I had tacos and the plantilla was cold, the meat didn't have a good flavor either. If I would've known this is how they do their food I would've gone elsewhere. Si eres latino, no pierdas tu dinero.

I can't get the piano versions of soft rock out of my head, the repetitive flushing of the toilet is at least drowning it out a bit.  If you haven't been, don't be surprised at their identity confusion. I thought it was supposed to be Mexican right? Do yourself a favor and appreciate the fact they don't offer their guac openly and its not a menu item - what's up with the pureed tasteless guacamole? Shouldn't it be common fare for a Mexican joint? The Steak kabobs had ranch on them? The accompanying salad was diced iceberg and that was pretty much it... My wife's chicken enchilada was cubed, boiled, tough, scary mystery chicken and some lousy beans... Last thought, be scared of the avocado fritters - more breading than avocado and this weird blue spearmint colored "jalapeno ranch". I'm almost glad that the waitress was inattentive and didn't talk us into any more sub mediocre confused tex mex.
